Three-week courses of etiquette, protocol, domestic skills and concierge services: this is how Eithad (Abu Dhabi flight company) trains the new employees.

 
It might seem normal for all butlers in service in all 5 star hotels, or in some VIP residence. Not so normal for those who will be hostesses and stewards on a regular fligh.

For 13 men and women (chefs and food & beverage managers) who work on long-distance as flight fleet of Etihad,this is reality . The 13 will be the new, exclusive butlers for this airline.

It will be difficult, however, for ordinary mortals, even to appreciate this fine service. The group of "Flyingbutlers",will be operating only on the brand new A380, flying from Abu Dhabi to London Heathrow and to Sydney and New York. The service will be only for customers who have booked The Residence by Etihad, the sumptuous cabin with three rooms, the flagship of the company.

The thirteen "Flying butlers" come from Bulgaria, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Jordan, Mexico, Romania, Slovakia, South Africa and the UK.

Talking about the rates: the standard price of The Residence by Etihad is 15,800 Euros for a single ticket.
