TOP GEAR IN PAKISTAN
Revenge is a dish best served cold, and Jeremy Clarkson waited 19 days before having his say on press coverage of his infamous appearance on BBC1's The One Show – you remember, when he said striking public sector workers should be shot. And the Top Gear presenter takes particular umbrage with the Daily Mail. "I really do believe that in the whole furore over press standards the wrong newspaper has been closed down," said Clarkson. Well, he was writing in the Sunday Times. Back to the Mail, which JC says is "like a Terminator. It doesn't know right from wrong. You can't reason with it. It has no sense of remorse or humility. It's fuelled by hatred." He goes on: "Nothing in the kingdom of nature is quite so unfathomable as a Mail reporter. They look human. They have opposable thumbs and are capable of catching buses. But they don't have the capacity for reason." We await the next Mail tale about Clarkson and co with interest. Maybe a preview of the Top Gear Christmas special, perhaps?
