Type Language Classes ETS Authorized TOEFL iBT Centre The Test of English As A Foreign Language TOEFL measures the ability of non-native speakers of English to use and understand English as it is spoken, written and heard in college and university settings of English speaking countries. More than colleges and universities in 110 countries accept results of TOEFL test. More than 18 million people have taken this test to date. In non-native speakers in 180 countries took the exam to establish their proficiency in English. TOEFL iBT TOEFL iBT is the new version of the test. It is the first large scale English-proficiency assessment to be delivered over the internet, allowing test takers to view their scores, 15 business days after taking the test. Our test center opened test registration in May, . Three to four test dates are available every month. Test Format The new test has four sections and the test is of 4 to 4.5 hours long. Listening The test takers will listen to 4-6 lectures of 3-5 minutes long. They will answer 6 questions for each lecture. They will also listen t0 2-3 conversation, each 3 minutes long. They will answer 5 questions for each dialogue. The section is of minutes long. Reading The Takers read 3-5 passages based on academic contexts. Usually the text is 700 words long. Test takers answer questions for each passage. The test time is minutes. Most of the questions are in MCQ format. Speaking There are 6 tasks in total. In first 2 independent tasks, test takers express an opinion on a familiar topic. Next 4 tasks are integrated. The speaking is based on what they have heard or read. The test finishes with in 20 minutes. Writing In a 50 minute test, test takers write an integrated task in first 20 minutes in which they listen and read on a topic first and then summarize the points. Task 2 is independent; here they write an essay of 300 words on a single given topic. Remember, there is no choice in writing section. Answer both the tasks by typing your responses on computer.
