The Safety Officer must have knowledge and understanding of relevant laws, including Flag State and Coast State laws, regulations, procedures and agreements that govern Maersk Drilling operations and he/she must be conversant with quality, safety and environment management principles. The Safety Officer position is ideally held by a person with minimum 2 years experience in previous Safety Officer positions combined with minimum 4 years offshore experience.
