Altec Lansing Channel 200Watt PC Multimedia Speaker System - Black The 641 is Altec's high-end 4.1 surround sound speaker system that packs enough punch to shatter a loose glass window or two, and still manages unprecedented quality levels and poise while doing so. Why not 5.1 or 6.1 you would ask? Well! From the way it's built, it seems Altec's sole purpose was to try match up to Klipsch's 4.1 Promedias, which was eating heavily into their high-end ADA890 system's sales. The Reason Altec summoned up quite a lot of innovations to better the Klipsch magic; they claim to achieve 400W of peak power at under 10% THD, quite close to Klipsch Promedia 4.1's specifications. In order to deliver this, they decided on using a dual-driver subwoofer that uses two front firing 6.5-inch long-throw woofers that are fitted in a dual-rear-ported wooden cabinet that weighs more than 14 Kilos, thanks to the heavy ferrite magnets that can be seen through the rear porting. The subwoofer produces 92W RMS (4 ohms) at < 1% THD. Significantly more powerful than the Klipsch Promedia 4.1's 70W RMS (4 ohms) at Condition: - No Warranty
