Aftab group of companies is followed by a very long and great history behind its success. This success is an outcome of untiring efforts of their elders. Aftab group is serving Pakistani consumers over a very long period of time.
In February 1948 a trading company was formed to deal coal, charcoal and hard coke, gradually the company diversified and expanded its business into different fields.
In 1970 Paper wax Match under brand name "SHAMA" was introduced, in 1978 the company introduced Safety Wooden Match under brand name of "TANGA" which was a complete success.
Later in 1984 Late Khawaja Aftab Ahmed founded M/S Fazal Sons Match Industries (Pvt.) Ltd. in Lahore Pakistan as his family owned company.
The setup was established with few at-hand resources, which comprised of some imported and local manufactured machinery. With the passage of time the company developed its own engineering division to cope with the technical needs of the manufacturing unit, which is pioneer in development of plastic accessories for match manufacturing in Pakistan.
