The Software Engineer is responsible for the layout design and coding of module, plug-in and views. He/she make sure it fulfills the requirement of the client. He/she figures out the technical and graphical aspect of the product in addition to unit testing, quality and re-usability. Job Description • Develop the programming code from scratch or utilizing and adapting the existing functionalities of the software to meet the business requirements. • Interpret written business requirement and technical specifications documents. • Design the MVC architecture of customized PHP product. • Building and maintenance of the core product. • To resolve customer’s live issues as advised by Team Lead as and when required. • Determine gaps in any functionality that the product may require and developing content based on the practical approved layout. • Identifying the content type that the deployment server will host and ensuring the compatibility with the programming requirements. • Responsible for the design of company web pages, including graphics, animation and functionality. • Can assist the Team Lead in the planning of overall company strategy regarding product development. • To monitor web server and site technical performance • Understand the existing software application and build competency • Any other task assigned by the employer. Requirement for the Job Education: • Degree in Computer Science from a reputed University. Experience: • Minimum 3 years PHP programming experience. Personal Competencies: • Excellent spoken and written Communication skills • Ability to follow proven development methodologies and design method. • Analytical and organizational skills and detail oriented • Able to prioritize and meet deadlines under pressure • Self-driven and self-motivated • Organizational & time management skills • Able to take initiative and work as a team • Willingness to support several projects at one time Technical Skills: • Strong database knowledge, specifically MySQL knowledge. • Knowledge of Ajax, Java Scripts and XHTML coding is highly desirable. • Black Box Testing the product and identifying the issues and hitches. • Can write automated unit test cases • Strong grip on database triggers, cursors and views with proven track experience. • Good command on Web Service (server and client). Should have work on REST or SOAP version integration. • RIA based application knowledge and clear concepts. • Can interact UNIX based servers via command line. • Able to code directly on command line. • Good experience in database designing and maintenance. • Good ability to compare multiple software life cycles and its implementation. • Awareness of new tools to improve function and quality of software.
