GSM-8818 is a GSM gateway communicator to transmit data through GSM. The communicator allows to connect PSTN landline alarm panels to GSM network. The main use of communicators is to inform the user or the CMS about an alarm in protected premises. The alarm report can be transmitted via phone line or GSM network. It can be used as the primary communication or as a back up for the IP or PSTN communications in case of communication failure. Fully replaces landline and transmits data to monitoring station if PSTN landline is unavailable or disconnected i.e. it Provides a simulated PSTN line, Switching to GSM network in case of a fall of the PSTN line. Could be used as a backup GSM connection too.
