With the adapter installed up-line of an IP Telephone, a single Gigabit Ethernet desktop drop can provide a Mbps connection to the IP Telephone and a Gigabit connection to a personal computer. It is an un-managed device and is physically stand-alone from the phone. The adapter is compatible with Avaya Series IP Telephones. The adapter will operate off local power or PoE (subject to the phones power requirements). Solution Basics The adapter is for use with Avaya Series IP Phones with an integrated switch. The adapter will be plugged in-front of the phone and pass Mbps to a PC (or other device). The adapter is separate from the phone so that it may sit under the desk and out of the way.
