The wireless transmitter of the TW9100W is a big improvement to the transmitter used with the TW9000W. The new transmitter is a complete redesign and offers 5 HDMI inputs allowing you to connect up to 5 HDMI sources and wirelessly transmit the signal to the TW9100W. It will allow simple source switching using the projector remote - great news if you haven't invested in an AV amplifier. In addition to the increased number of inputs the wireless transmitter also has a HDMI output and SPDIF digital output. The HDMI output allows you to either cable to a 2nd display such as a TV or if your AV Reciever supports Audio Return Channel, you can route the sound from the 5 HDMI inputs to your AV Receiver whilst transmitting the video to the projector. If your AV Reciever does not support ARC (Audio Return Channel) but you still want to route the audio from the transmitter back to it you can connect a SPDIF (Toslink) cable between the transmitter and your AV Reciever. A nice little touch on the new transmitter is the preview feature.
